Sound meditation is a part of Nada yoga and is an effortless way to deep relaxation.
Nada yoga, meaning “union through sound,” is the yoga of sound. Nada yoga is the removal of all the fluctuations of the mind with the help of sound and vibrations.It is an ancient system and science of inner transformation and healing through sound and vibrations. Nada yoga is based on the premise that the entire cosmos and everything in it (including humans) consists of sound vibrations, or nadas.
Nada yoga is described in the “Hatha Yoga Pradipika” as one of the most powerful and fruitful meditation techniques to calm the mind. Using music and sounds to connect to a higher state of consciousness is a very common practice in different spiritual traditions.For example, Hinduism, where many of the deities are musicians: Krishna plays the flute, Saraswati plays the veena, and Ganesha created the tabla drums.
Sound meditation as a part of Nada yoga is a science of exposing yourself to sounds of particular frequencies that are conducive for the body and trigger the body’s own healing mechanism making it disease free, Achieve balance between body, mind and spirit and help you achieve higher states of consciousness.

It includes the following areas of study
- Nada yoga.
- Significance of Sounds and vibrations.
- Impact of sounds and vibrations on human body.
- Importance of relaxation, deep rest, meditativeness and how nada yoga can help to achieve it.
- Introduction to different types of instruments used in sound meditation and sound bath sessions. (Tibetan singing bowls, Tingsha cymbals, crystal bowls.)
- Pranayama – Yogic breathing practice to get in tune with sound meditation.
- Chakras frequencies and importance of their balancing.
- Introduction to Pancha Kosha Model.
- Sound meditation Tuned to a single person and Sound bath sessions.
- Importance and significance of Nada yoga and its integration with other forms of yogic practices.
- You will learn the different techniques for giving sound & vibration sessions with the Tibetan singing bowls/Crystal singing bowls.( For example – striking, rubbing, rotating half-moon, full moon, creating gaps between each sound, singing with singing bowls and using water with singing bowls).
Trainees will be able to
- Practice and lead sound meditation sessions.
- Confidently construct a class for their students.
- Learn the nuances of using sound meditation for their own and their students’ mental and physical wellbeing.
- Learn how to combine Tibetan singing bowl healing therapy with Asana, Pranayama and Meditation.
Pre-requisite
- No prior experience of yoga , meditation is required to enrol in the Certification Program.
- In case of Practitioners having major injuries, chronic health issues or psychological issues, it must be communicated before the start of the course

- A soft copy covering all the modules of syllabus will be provided
Evaluation criteria
- The trainee is expected to attend all the classes during the course. Students are expected to conduct a mock session at the end of the course to receive the course completion certificate
The total fees for the course is: Rs 27,900/-
The fee can be transferred electronically. In the event of discontinuation of the course, the fee shall not be refunded, irrespective of the reason for discontinuation.
- Do I need any prior knowledge of Yoga, Meditation or Music to join the course?
No prior knowledge or experience of Yoga, Meditation or Music is required to join the course. This is a beginner level program open to all and you’ll be learning everything required from scratch for sound meditation. - Do i need to have a set of bowls to attend the course?
If you are attending the course in-person – No bowls are required, you will be provided with bowls at the centre to gain practical experience. If you are attending the course online – Yes, you will require your own set of bowls.? - I wish to attend the course online, but do not have a set of bowls, Can i still attend the course?
It is strongly recommended that you have or purchase a set of bowls before the start of the course as you’ll be learning how to use the bowls practically. - Does Sound meditation India sell bowls as well ?
